This is a section on questions and may be some answers.
This often amuses me and sometimes dismays me. Some people ask some stupid questions and some asks things that are blatantly obvious. They just don’t read the script.
Please ask your question and I will answer you as best I can if it is not listed here.

Q. What is today?
A . Look at the calendar.
Q. Who am I?
A. I have no idea.
Q. Can I contact you by phone.
A. No. I am not a business, email only at distillinguk.uk@gmail.com
Q. Can I collect my item from you.
A. Yes by appointment only.
Q. What is the lead time on my item.
A. Depends on the item. Small items normally a couple of days. Larger items around a week.
I try to keep you up dated by email plus photos of your project. I also ask for a deposit before work begins.
Once I have made a start there will be a cancellation fee of 25% of the deposit should you wish to cancel.
Q. What is a Turnkey Still.
A. A Turnkey Still is a Still that is ready to go into production straight out of the box. Turnkey = Ready to start.
Q. Where are you situated.
A. Lawford near Manningtree. Essex. See Map.
Q. How is Shipping Calculated.
A. Mostly on item cost as a PayPal auto value.
Q. What about Large items.
A. Collection in person or by carrier at cost.
Q. What is BSP.
A. British Standard Pipe.
Q. What is BSPT
A. British Standard Pipe Thread. ( This is a Tapered Thread. ) Self sealing.
Q. What is a ‘G’ Thread.
A. BSP or ‘G’ Thread is a Parallel Thread. Needs additional help to form a seal. i.e. PTFE Tape or similar.
Q. What is DN.
A. Diameter Nominal. Measured in Millimetres.
Q. What is NPS.
A. Nominal Pipe Size. ( Not National Pipe Size )
Q. What is NPT.
A. National Pipe Thread. Mostly used in the USA.
Q. Can you make me something.
A. Yes if it is Copper.
Q. How much 100mm wide Copper Mesh do I need to make a roll to fit into 54mm / 2″ Pipe.
A. You need 1.6mts in length of your chosen width i.e. 100mm or 125mm. See Copper Mesh Info.
Q. How much 100mm wide Copper Mesh do I need to make a roll to fit into 67mm /2.5″ Pipe.
A. You need 3mts in length of your chosen width i.e. 100mm or 125mm. See Copper Mesh Info.
Q. How much 100mm wide Copper Mesh do I need to make a roll for 76mm 3″ Copper Tube.
A. You need 4mts to make a roll. See Copper Mesh Info.
Q. What size will the crate be if I order a complete working still.
A. This all depends on what you order. As a guide 76cm x 76cm x 146cm. 140Kg. or 98cm x 98cm x 118cm. 160Kg.
Q. How much will average complete still cost. ( 50L )
A. Around the £1050.00. $1450.00. This is a door to door service via air.
Q. When is an inch not an inch.
A. When it is two inches. Check out the charts in Miscellaneous. Tri Clamp measurements are different.
Q. Can I purchase / buy in raw Mash / Wash
A. NO.
Q. Can I make a Mash or Wash for resale.
A. No not without the appropriate licenses.
Q. Can I purchase or buy in NGS
A. Yes with the appropriate licenses. NGS = Natural Grain Spirit. Normally supplied at 96% ABV.
